Founded in 2005 by Jo Jacob, her passion for organisation and being the ultimate "right hand (Wo)man" led to the creation of Benella Home Organisation. After travelling and working in various industries, including Leisure and IT, Jo discovered her love for decluttering homes and restoring order to people's lives.  As a proud mother of 2 now grown-up children, Ben and Eleanor, Jo drew inspiration from her own young family when naming the business.

With qualifications as an interior designer under the guidance of renowned experts like Ann Maurice from TV's House Doctor and Dawna Walters of "Life Laundry" fame, Jo's expertise in creating harmonious spaces flourished. As client demand grew for ongoing support, a PA at home service was added in 2009 to help keep lives and homes on track.

It's safe to say Jo has never met a client in over 19 years who didn't have a bag of bags, a book on decluttering, or boxes and drawers filled with photographs. That's why she trained as a photograph organiser in 2017, ensuring no aspect of your life is left unorganised.

As a local resident of Petersfield, Hampshire, Jo has developed a strong network of trusted tradespeople and possesses invaluable knowledge of the local and surrounding area. This ensures clients receive the best assistance for their specific requirements, whether it's finding reliable contractors or sourcing storage solutions.

At Benella, confidentiality is a top priority, guaranteeing a safe and secure environment for clients. While references can be provided upon request, rest assured your privacy is respected throughout the entire organising process. Benella is fully insured, and Jo has undergone CRB checks to ensure your peace of mind.

Jo has been a member of APDO for over 16 years and has worked with The Senior Move Partnership for 6 years, specialising in downsizing clients into independent retirement apartments. When her father passed away in 2018 and her mother suddenly at the beginning of 2020, Jo had to sell her family home that she had grown up in. Grieving and dealing with the covid pandemic whilst trying to empty the house once it sold, gave Jo a new level of understanding of what it is like to have to sell a beloved family home following the loss of family members. Jo has since helped many bereaved clients in similar situations and is able to support them with a unique level of understanding and compassion.

Based in Petersfield, Hampshire but covering Surrey, West Sussex and London (upon individual request basis).

I am so passionate about helping my clients and their homes. My favourite way to end a session is with the client smiling and saying "I don't know what I would have done without you".
